This term we have been introducing the daily mile across the school. This initiative is widely used across primary schools nationally to improve health and fitness. We encourage children to walk around the playground for ten minutes and, if they choose to, they can run. Children are encouraged to set their own personal target. This can involve doing more laps in the time, or can be to encourage others to get involved. Children are enjoying the activity which takes place at the end of the morning session. Children are encouraged to have a drink of water before and afterwards.
