On Tuesday 27th January eight Year 5’s went to Chetwynd Deer Park to go on an orienteering competition. It was a nice experience, where we had a stamp card and a map which has the orienteering points on it. When Miss Munt started the timer, we ran off and searched for 15 orienteering points scattered around the woods. When we found a point, there was a clipper with a unique set of dots so we couldn’t cheat. We looked on the map and figured out which number was which point and then we could press the clipper onto the stamp card and the unique set of dots would be stamped. When we had all 15 we raced back to Miss Munt and she stopped the timer. We would probably all like to do it again. Some of us finished and some of us didn’t but we all found it fun.
