Returning to school

Dear Parents

Further to the guidance we sent out yesterday, which was in response to the many questions we have been asked by parents to help you come to a decision about sending your children back in to school.

We want to clarify the order in which pupils will return to school at Coalbrookdale.

This is an outline of our plans however, with updates being received from the Government and LA daily, these are subject to change.

Children of key workers will continue to come to school daily as needed from Tuesday 2nd June.
(If your child comes in this category and you wish for them to attend please provide a letter from your employer showing that your job is essential to the Covid-19 response and that you are unable to fulfil your role working from home.)

A group of 10 year 6 pupils will then be invited to come to school once all risk assessments are completed and signed off by Telford & Wrekin Council and the Governing Body. This is unlikely to be before Monday 8th June.

Once we are sure that systems and risk assessments are in place, and we are working as safely as we can during current situation, we will invite the next group of 10 Year 6 pupils to attend.

We will continue to act with caution and increase the numbers of Year 6 attending until all of Year 6, who are safe to do so, are back in school.

Once we are sure that we can continue to increase numbers the first group of Year 1 pupils will be invited to start. We will continue to increase number s of pupils until all Year 1 pupils whom parents are happy to send to school are in before we then invite our first group of Reception pupils.

We will only increase the number of pupils that can attend school when we are confident that it is safe to do so.

We would like to thank all parents for their patience and understanding at this time.
