Fundraising – Reception & Year 1
On Wednesday (13th February) morning Reception and Year 1 will be participating in a fun run activity in order to raise money for the NSPCC. This will take place on the school playground on Wednesday morning (9.15am) for about an hour. We would like children to arrive in school wearing their PE kit and change into their usual school uniform later.
Parents are welcome to stay and watch the event by standing on the path outside the Year 1 & 2 classrooms or on the sloping path from the gate. We ask that no photos are posted on social media.
Fundraising –Years 2 – 6
On Thursday afternoon, Years 2 – 6 will be heading to the Regatta Field to compete in a fun run in aid of the NSPCC. We will be leaving school once we’ve changed into PE kits after lunch. The route, which is approximately 0.8 of a mile, has been chosen by cross country club. Adult marshals will monitor the marked route at all times. If you feel that you could give some time to support and help marshal the run, then please contact Mrs Bletcher at school.
Once at the Regatta field, children will run in the following races:
• Year 2 girls & boys
• Year 3 & 4 girls
• Year 3 & 4 boys
• Year 5 & 6 girls
• Year 5 & 6 boys
We will aim to begin running at 1:45pm, with each race approximately lasting 10 minutes.
There will be a small prize for the winner of each race and the child that raises the most money for the NSPCC to show their thanks.
Please can you ensure your child has suitable footwear for running on the Regatta field and their PE kit (including a warm top and leggings).
Following this week’s parents workshop, please find attached information leaflets for those who were unable to attend.
