Pentecost Service – Wednesday 24 May
Year 5 will be leading the Pentecost celebration at Holy Trinity Church, Coalbrookdale on Wednesday 24 May. All school children will attend, and we would like to invite parents/carers to join us.
The service will start at 1.45pm.
All children will walk back to school and should be collected as normal at the end of the day.
RSE Parent Drop-in
Next half term children from Years 1 – 6 will begin their Relationships and Sex Education lessons. The lessons are age appropriate and follow government guidelines.
In preparation for this, we will be holding a parent drop-in session on Thursday afternoon at 3:30pm in the school hall. Please come along to have a look.
The purpose of this is to share the materials we use to teach these lessons, so you have a clear understanding of what your children will be taught.
Mrs Postance and Miss Walton will be on hand to answer any questions.
We will also be providing a leaflet with the information for you to take home with you and for those who can’t attend a copy will be put on Seesaw.
After School Clubs
The following clubs will run after the Half Term holiday (week commencing 5 June)
Monday: Summer Games (rounders, athletics, and tennis) with Embrace (Years 1 & 2) (5 June – 10 July; 6 sessions – £15.00) (max 20 children)
Tuesday: Summer Games (rounders, athletics, and tennis) with Embrace (Years 3 – 6) (6 June – 11 July; 6 sessions – £15.00) (max 20 children)
Wednesday: Cricket with Embrace (Years 3 – 6) (7 June – 12 July; 6 sessions – £15.00) (max 20 children)
A permission link will be sent out via Seesaw for you to complete if your child would like to join.

Other Achievements
At the end of last term, Emilia (Year 3), collected 710 second-hand children’s books for Books4Home, part of Rotary International. Well done Emilia for collecting an amazing number of books for children to have the chance to own books of their own. Thank you to families at Coalbrookdale who helped Emilia by bringing books into school on the last day of the Spring term.
