Move-up morning
On Tuesday morning we welcomed Mr Wheeler, Mrs Cox and Mrs Faulkner into our school for the first time on our move-up morning. It was lovely to see children and staff enjoying their new classes together and getting to know each other.
We are looking forward to the new academic year ahead with our new team.
Book Fair
Thanks to your support at the book fair this week we had over £120.00 to spend on books for the classrooms.
PE
Due to class trips and Sports Day there are some changes to the PE timetable next week. Please check “What’s happening: w/c 10 July” for when your child’s class has PE.
Sports Day – Tuesday 11 July
KS2 Sports Day will be held on the Regatta Field with events starting at 9:30am and will conclude at around 11:30am.
KS1 Sports Day will be held on the school playground with events starting at 1.30pm and will conclude at around 2.45pm.
Children will be completing activities in their Houses (Gorge (Green), Severn (Blue), Wrekin (Red) and Bridge (Yellow)). If the children have t-shirts in their house colour, that would be great, but if not, we will have some coloured badges or bands for them. If you do not know your child’s house check with the class teacher or school office. Please remember to send children with hats, sunscreen and water bottles.
If the weather forecast is not favourable, in the interests of safety we may need to cancel/postpone Sports Day however a final decision will be made the day before (10 July) on whether to go ahead.
Friends News – Summer Fair
Next Friday, 14 July, is the Friends Summer Fair. Children can wear non-uniform in return for bringing in a bottle for the bottle tombola. Bottles will be collected on the top playground before school.
Great School Bake Off – entries can be dropped off at the school office at the end of the school day or straight to the staff room at 5.30pm. Please remember to include your name and number. Entries will be judged by Embers Café who will be donating a prize for the winner.

Dinner Accounts
Could parents please ensure their child’s dinner account is paid and up-to-date before the end of term. Please contact the school office if you would like an account balance. All dinner accounts should always remain in credit to ensure your child receives a school meal.
Year 6 children’s accounts that are in credit after lunch on the last day will have their balance transferred to a younger sibling in school or be refunded.
