News from the parish: Mothering Sunday service this Sunday 10th March

We would like to invite children and their families to come along to St Luke’s Church this Sunday 10th March, for our Mothering Sunday service.

Carilyn Simkin will be leading the service, which will start at 1100am and finish with refreshments at noon.

As part of the occasion, we will be continuing the St Luke’s tradition of giving out posies to the women of the church. The children will be able to tie some posies with ribbon themselves and help to hand these out.

The congregation will be making daffodil flower cards on the back of which to write the names of women who have been and are important to them, for us to share towards the end of the service.

There will also be a chance for children to make and decorate flower cards themselves, for which there will be things ready to use either sat at an activity table to the side or in their pews with their families.

We hope these will be activities that children and their families will enjoy and would like to add that there are pre-school toys for younger children to play with as well.

News from the Parish – All Ages Service – Sunday 17 March

On Sunday 17 March, there will be an All-Ages Service at school, from 11.00am.

We would like to invite children and their families to join people from the local churches, so that we may get to know each other and strengthen friendships.

There will be a break for juice, biscuits, cake and fruit.

The service will be held in the school hall. Entrance will be signposted and is up the right-hand slope/drive and via the side door.
