Message from the Headteacher
What a super busy half term it has been! With World Book Day, Red Nose Day and the Easter Fair, it has been an action-packed few weeks. We must not forget about the super progress that children have made and I know that so many parents who attended parents evening were as proud as we are of all the things their child has achieved so far this year. Thank you for the support you have continued to show class teachers and the school.
Our value of the half herm has been Compassion and we have been so proud to celebrate so many examples of where children have shown compassion towards others.
I would also like to thank the staff and governors for their hard work in supporting our school and helping to make it the best that it can be for our children.
We look forward to an exciting summer term ahead. I know parents will be eager to know early in the term when events are taking place such as Sports Day and Year 6 Leavers. These dates will be published to parents in the first week back after Easter.
I wish you all a Happy Easter holiday with your family and friends.
Mrs M Dhaliwal

Community News – Mobile Phone Emergency Alert Test
If anyone has a secret mobile phone hidden from an abusive partner, remember to switch off or put in airplane mode etc. as described below, or the phone will be activated with the loud alert on the evening of 23 April.
Please share this to help keep others safe.
The alert will say:
“This is a test of Emergency Alerts, a new UK government service that will warn you if there’s a life-threatening emergency nearby.
In an actual emergency, follow the instructions in the alert to keep yourself and others safe.
Visit gov.uk/alerts for more information.
This is a test. You do not need to take any action.”
Mobile phone masts in the surrounding area will broadcast an alert. Every compatible mobile phone or tablet in range of a mast will receive the alert.
Your mobile phone or tablet does not have to be connected to mobile data or wifi to get alerts.
You can opt out of emergency alerts, but the government advises you should keep them switched on for your own safety.
To opt out:
Search your settings for ‘emergency alerts’
Turn off ‘severe alerts’ and ‘extreme alerts’
If you still get alerts, contact your device manufacturer for help
About Emergency Alerts
