Mobile phones in school

Parents are reminded that children should not be bringing mobile phones into school.

If you feel they need a phone with them, perhaps because they walk to and from school on their own, they should hand the phone in to the school office when they arrive at school and then collect  it at the end of the day.

News from the Parish

St Luke’s Church would like to welcome children and families of the school, and their friends, to come to a special Christingle Family Service at 11am this Sunday 10th December.

Everything will be in the pews in readiness for us all to enjoy making these lovely symbols of Advent, with oranges, candles and sweets. The Christmas Trees around the church will provide extra sparkle.

We will be singing carols and songs including “He’s got the whole world in His hands”, as we think about the orange as a symbol of the world, and “Shine, Jesus, Shine”, as we think about the Christ Child represented by the candles.

Children are warmly welcomed to join us in this lovely tradition.

Looking further ahead into Advent, our Carol Service is on 17th December, and will start at 1100am.

There will also be Carol Services on 17th December at Holy Trinity, at 2pm, and at St Lawrence, Little Wenlock, at 4pm.

We look forward to sharing more details soon about these as we build towards our Christmas Eve services. There will be a Crib Service at St Luke’s Church. This will be at 5pm. There will then be a United Communion at Holy Trinity at 1100pm.
