Wraparound Provision – Important Reminders for Parents and Carers

We would like to share a few important reminders to help our Breakfast Club and After School Club run smoothly and safely for all children.

Both clubs offer a range of activities for children to enjoy, alongside time to socialise, relax and take part in structured and creative opportunities in a safe and welcoming environment.

Booking and Communication with the School Office

If you would like to book your child into Breakfast Club or After School Club, please contact the School Office.

If your child is already booked into a session and plans change, parents and carers must inform the School Office as soon as possible. There have been occasions where children were booked into a club but were instead collected or did not attend without the Office being notified. This can cause confusion and concern, as staff need to know exactly where children should be at key transition points in the day.

Breakfast Club – Opening and Closing Times

• Breakfast Club runs from 7:45am to 8:20am.
• During this time, the school gates are unlocked.
• At 8:20am, the gates are locked and remain locked until 8:35am.

It is important that children attending Breakfast Club arrive and are handed over to staff within this time to ensure the safety and supervision of all pupils.

After School Club – Session Times

• Half session: 3.20pm – 4.30pm
• Full session: 3.20pm – 5.45pm

Late collection after 5:45pm will incur a charge of £5 per 15 minutes. Please also be aware that the caretaker locks and closes the school at 6.00pm, so it is essential that children are collected on time.

Costings for Wraparound Provision

Food and Drinks

Children must not bring their own food or drinks into Breakfast Club or After School Club. This includes food left over from lunchtime or snacks placed in bags by parents. All food is provided by the clubs and for safety, consistency and allergy awareness, children should only eat what is provided by staff.

Thank you for your continued support in following these procedures. By working together and keeping to agreed routines, we can ensure our wraparound provision remains safe, calm and enjoyable for all children.

Parent/Teacher Meetings

Parent meeting appointments for children in Reception – Year 5 will take place on:

Wednesday 21 January (3.30pm – 5.30pm)
Thursday 22 January (3.30pm – 5.30pm)

Meetings will be face to face in school and last 10 minutes (if additional time is required by the end of the meeting, this will be arranged for another day).  It will be an opportunity to discuss your child’s strengths and areas of focus.

Reminder that from 2 February 2026 school dinners will increase to £3.05 per day.

Highest class attendance for week ending 19 December:  Year 4

Most improved class attendance from the previous week:  Year 1
