Message from Mrs Dhaliwal
As we approach the final week of the Spring term, I would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued support. The children have been working incredibly hard and are currently completing assessments which will support staff in planning and preparing for the summer term. Following our pupil progress meetings, we will share information with you about your child’s achievements and next steps early in the new term.
Next week is a busy and exciting one so please do check the key dates in the diary to ensure you don’t miss any important events.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming parents and carers to our Easter Service on Wednesday 25 March. You are warmly invited to walk to church with us. We will be leaving school at approximately 1:30pm for a 2.00pm start.
Our Easter Fair will take place on Thursday, the final day of term, and we hope you are able to join us as we come together to celebrate the end of a successful term.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for being such an important part of our school community.
Mrs M Dhaliwal
Friends of Coalbrookdale Easter Fair
Don’t forget our Easter Fair next Thursday (26th March), from 3:20–4:30! We have lots of free activities for children to enjoy, as well as our famous Easter egg tombola.
On Tuesday 24 March, we’ll be holding a dress-down day in exchange for Easter egg donations.
If you’re able to bake some treats for our cake stall, please drop them off at the office for the Friends to collect at drop-off time, or come along and visit the cake stall at pick-up.
Thank you for your support!
Thank you for your continued support.

Wraparound News
This week in our after-school wraparound, children have shown fantastic teamwork, creativity and independence at the Lego table. They worked collaboratively, discussing their ideas, sharing resources and ensuring their area was tidy before leaving.
One child created a robot with moving arms, showing great perseverance in selecting the correct pieces to achieve this. It was wonderful to see the excitement when the build was completed.
Another child designed and built an art gallery, carefully choosing pieces to represent walls, outdoor features and detailed displays inside. This was a thoughtful and imaginative build, demonstrating great attention to detail.
Overall, it has been lovely to see such creativity, cooperation and pride in their work – well done to everyone involved.
Mrs Oakey
Wraparound Supervisor

New School Dinner Menu
After Easter there will be a new school dinner menu. A copy of the menu has been sent home with children today and a copy will also be available on the school website.
School sandwiches are available daily as an alternative to a hot meal but must be ordered in advance. Please contact the office for more details.
Parents should ensure that their child’s dinner account is always kept in credit to ensure your child receives a school meal. If you are unsure of your child’s dinner balance please contact the school office.
School dinners cost £3.05.

Parish News – St Luke’s Church welcome this Sunday 22nd March
This Sunday, there will be a service of Holy Communion, starting at 11:00am, at St Luke’s in Ironbridge.
St Luke’s would like to welcome children and families to this service, and to refreshments afterwards.
In our Jesus and Me (JAM) activity for school age children, we will be thinking about friendship, and about how Jesus is a friend to all.
This links into the story of Lazarus, Martha and Mary, the brother and sisters with whom he became close friends. We will hear in the reading from John about how Jesus brought Lazarus back from the dead to his sisters.
We will draw and colour circles of our friends and make friendship bracelets with each other. This will be at the red activity tables at the side of the church.
There are also books and toys available for younger children to play with in the church.
Readings:
1st Reading – Ezekiel 37:1-14
John 11:1-45

2. Dear Lord and Father of mankind hymn 144
3. Thy kingdom come, O God hymn 691
