Welcome Back!
Welcome back! We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable Easter break. It’s been a great start to the summer term, with children returning eager and ready to engage in their learning.
Today, your child will be bringing home an overview of the learning they will be completing this half term. This is a helpful way for parents to understand what’s being taught and to support learning at home. Even simple conversations about what your child is learning can make a big difference, helping them embed new knowledge into their long-term memory.
We’ve also included the key dates for your diary for the summer term in today’s newsletter. There’s so much to look forward to this term, and we’re excited to see the fantastic progress the children will make.
This week, a group of Year 2 children had the opportunity to visit Arthog Outreach, accompanied by Miss Pugh and a parent helper. They had a wonderful time exploring the outdoors, taking on new challenges, and working together as a team. We were thrilled to hear that our children were described as the best group who attended – what an amazing piece of feedback to receive! We are incredibly proud of how they represented our school with such enthusiasm, respect, and responsibility.
As always, thank you for your continued support. If you ever have any questions or would like to speak to someone, please don’t hesitate to contact a member of staff in school.

Online Safety May 2025
This is a valuable opportunity to find out more and ask any questions you may have.
The session will also highlight the importance of online safety, a vital topic in today’s digital world. As children increasingly engage with technology, it’s essential that we work together to help them stay safe, make informed choices, and develop healthy online habits.
Below is the link to access the session.
Please note: This session is a repeat session (last delivered Jan 2025) so if parents/carers attended that session, then they don’t need to attend again.

Introducing the New Friends of Coalbrookdale
We’re delighted to introduce our new Friends of Coalbrookdale who have already made a fantastic start in supporting our fundraising efforts. A huge thank you to all the parents who are getting involved – we truly value your time and commitment in helping to enhance our curriculum and wider school offer for the children.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing members of the Friends of Coalbrookdale. Your voluntary service and dedicated support to the children over the years have made a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful for all you’ve done.
