Message from Mrs Dhaliwal

We have had a superb first week back, and it has been wonderful to see the children settled and engaged in their learning. As we move into this half term, each class will receive their child’s learning journey, giving you an overview of the key topics and skills they will be exploring in the coming weeks. This will help you stay informed about their learning and how you can support them at home.

Today, we have also been celebrating Stand Up to Bullying Day with all our children. Through discussions and activities, we have reinforced the importance of kindness, respect, and looking out for one another.

A key message we shared with children is the difference between a one-off disagreement or falling out and bullying, which is when someone is hurt on purpose and repeatedly. We encouraged all children to speak up if they feel they or someone else is being bullied, reminding them that they are never alone and that trusted adults are always here to help.

We also explored how to be responsible and compassionate members of our school community, ensuring that everyone feels safe, included, and valued. Together, we continue to build a culture where bullying is never accepted, and kindness is always celebrated.

If parents have any concerns regarding bullying or their child’s well-being, we encourage them to report these directly to the school via their child’s class teacher. Open communication is key to ensuring all children feel safe and supported.

If you would like any further information about anti-bullying strategies or your child’s learning, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
