NSPCC Number Day – A Fantastic Success!
Children and staff have made an amazing effort to get involved in NSPCC Number Day, dressing up as numbers and helping to raise vital funds for the NSPCC.
Throughout the day, children have taken part in a range of fun and engaging mathematical activities and games, exploring numbers in exciting ways! It has been wonderful to see so much enthusiasm and creativity in celebrating maths while supporting such an important cause.
We are thrilled to share that we raised over £140.00 for the NSPCC! A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and took part – your support makes a real difference.
Check out some of the fantastic photos from the day!

Online Safety Week – Encouraging Positive Digital Communication
Next week, we will be celebrating Online Safety Week, where children will explore the importance of using technology responsibly and safely. This will include discussions about compassionate and respectful communication online, thinking carefully before sharing, and understanding the impact of digital interactions.
As a school, we believe that everyone in our community has a role to play in promoting positive communication, both in person and online. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these important messages at home.
If you would like any further support or guidance to help your children learn about online safety, please read our monthly newsletter on Online Safety (see below) and of course, you can ask your child’s teacher for further help.
Thank you for working with us to ensure that our children develop the right skills to navigate the online world in a safe, respectful, and responsible way.

Celebration for our children
Following the fantastic feedback from inspectors about our wonderful children and their school, we wanted to celebrate their hard work and positive contributions.
Over the past few weeks, the children have been sharing their ideas for a special celebration, and our Learning Council gathered these suggestions. To make it fair, we had a pick out of a hat, and we are excited to announce that the children will be having a class party. This will take place on Friday 14th February.
More details will be shared on Monday 10 February, but for now, we wanted to let you know so the children can look forward to their well-deserved celebration.
Thank you for your ongoing support.

Parking on Dale End
Parents and carers are reminded that they should park safely and legally when dropping off or collecting their children. The Highway Code stipulates that you must not park on the pavement unless signs permit it or on the zig zag lines in front of school. This may result in a fine.
Parents can obtain car parking permits for Dale End and The Wharfage car parks from Telford & Wrekin Council for school drop-off and pick-up times.
School parking permits are free and are managed on Telford & Wrekin Council’s MiPermit website –

News from the Parish: Family Worship at St Luke’s
This Sunday 9th February, St Luke’s Ironbridge would like to welcome children and their families to a Family Worship service, 11am to 12 noon.
The theme for Family Worship is ‘Whom Shall I Send?’
The reading is from the Gospel of Luke, chapter 5, verses 1-11, in which he calls his disciples.
In our activity, we will create drawings and cut outs of hands, to represent that we are raising our hands ready to follow Jesus.
This will be at the red activity tables at the side of the church.
Children are welcome to either sit at the tables, or sit with their families in pews.
There are also books and toys available for younger children to play with in the church.
We hope to see children and their families there, and to share refreshments after the service has finished.
Songs
- I the Lord of sea and Sky (hymn 332)
