Thank You for Joining Us at Book Club
A big thank you to everyone who joined us for Book Club on Wednesday. It was wonderful to see so many children engaging with reading and enjoying the opportunity to share a book with someone from home.
Reading together is such a valuable way to reinforce the importance of books in learning and development, and we truly appreciate your support in fostering a love of reading among our children.
We look forward to welcoming you to future sessions—thank you for making this such a special experience!
In order for us to further develop reading skills and build that love of reading we provide every child with a reading book. Please can we ask for your support to help your child remember to pack their book in their school bag and bring it to class every day of the week.
We also ask for any school reading books that you have at home to be returned to school. We have fewer books in school than we had at the start of the year, and this limits the choice the children have. The more books we have in school, the greater choice the children have and the more engaged they are with their reading.
Thank you for your continued support.
Thank You for Supporting Our Reception Walk to Ironbridge
A huge thank you to all the parents and grandparents who joined our Reception children on their walk into Ironbridge on Thursday afternoon. Your support made such a difference, and the children had a wonderful time exploring their local town.
This walk provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to deepen their understanding of the local area, and the changing seasons. It was lovely to hear them enthusiastically share their learning, making real-world connections with what they have been studying in class.
Thank you again for your time and support—it is truly appreciated!
NSPCC Number Day – 7 February 2025
To celebrate 25 years of the NSPCC’s Number Day, we are asking children to take up the challenge and ‘Dress up for Digits’ to raise money for the NSPCC.
Children simply wear an item of clothing with a number on it and donate (£1.00 suggested donation). This could be a favourite sports top or cap, or why not get more creative and design a unique t-shirt, hat or even become a human-sized calculator or dice!
Children will then be taking part in a full day of fun maths activities and games in class. If the children have a game that involves numbers (snakes and ladders, monopoly, etc) they are welcome to bring them in to play in the afternoon.
We hope to have lots of fun and raise money for the charity too.

Head lice
We have had reports of head lice in KS2. Could all parents please check their children’s hair carefully and treat if necessary.
