Art Days

Next week Year 3 (Tuesday 18 June) and Year 5 (Wednesday 19 June) will have their art days for their part in the whole school art project.  Parents are welcome to join their children in class from 1.15pm.

This week Reception and Year 1 enjoyed their art days.  Reception class were making tiles imprinted with flowers and foliage they collected in Dale End Park while Year 1 collected sticks to create their own boats, that they set off in the River Severn. When they were back in school they practised different water colour textures. In the afternoon with the parents, they created a river scene which will be used in our whole school artwork.

Thank you to Mrs Lightbody for working with the children on this project.

News from the parish: All Ages Service at school this Sunday 16th June

We are pleased to give further details of an All-Ages Service to be held at the school, from 11am to 12 noon this Sunday 16th June.

We would like to invite children and their families to join people from the local churches, so that we may get to know each other and strengthen friendships together. It will also be a nice time to think about Dads and Grandads and all those who take a father role in our lives, with it being Father’s Day.

There will be juice, biscuits, cake, and fruit after the service.

The service will be held in the school hall. Entrance is through the wide blue gates and up the right-hand slope to the school. Please walk round to your right to enter via the side door.

The theme for this Sunday All Age Service is ‘Changed and being Changed’

The bible passages are as follows:

1 Samuel 15:34 to 16:13

2 Corinthians 5:6-10, and 14- 17

There will be singing and activities around this theme, including butterflies to colour in, perhaps for our Dads and Grandads. The local churches look forward to seeing families there.
