Staffing arrangements

Some parents have recently shared that they are unsure about which adults are supporting in different classes, so I wanted to take this opportunity to provide clarity on the current staffing arrangements across the school.

Below is a list of the staff who work in each year group:

  • Reception: Mrs Marshall and Mrs Fletcher
  • Year 1: Miss Stackhouse and Mrs Austin
  • Year 2: Mrs Postance
  • Year 3: Miss Dillon, Mrs Patel and Mrs Ricks
  • Year 4: Miss Pearson, Ms Mills, Ms Pugh, Miss Wolton and Miss Buchanan
  • Year 5: Mr Wheeler, Mrs Fellows and Mrs Patel
  • Year 6: Ms McMullan and Mrs Bailey

Mrs Ricks, our pastoral leader supports children across the whole school so her interaction with children is school-wide.

Mrs Austin (KS1) and Miss Wolton (KS2) are our school HLTAs (Higher Level Teaching Assistants) who cover classes during teacher planning sessions across the week.

Some staff support across more than one class to provide flexibility and expertise where needed, which ensures all children receive the best possible support. Staff roles are carefully planned to meet the needs of our pupils.

We will be welcoming a new member of support staff, Miss Calabrese, who will be joining us next week to support across the school.

If you have any further questions about staffing or how we support your child, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher.

Ironbridge Christmas Lights Switch-on

There is a slight change to times for the Ironbridge Christmas Lights Switch-on which will take place tomorrow (Saturday 30 November).

Children can meet at the toll-house end of the Ironbridge at 5.15pm to walk across the bridge in the lantern parade.  The children will take to the stage around 5.30pm. Parents will be responsible for overseeing the supervision of their child/ren while walking across the bridge.

School uniform is not necessary but warm coats, hats and gloves would be recommended.

🎄🥳 Christmas Fair 2024 🎄🥳

Thank you to everyone who came along to this year’s Christmas Fair, and a huge thank you to those who helped at the event.

It was a lovely way to kick off the festive season and wonderful to hear so many children singing in the choir 🎶.

Friends of Coalbrookdale raised over £450 which goes to help support the school and benefit every child.

Thank you
