Coming to a school within such a beautiful and imposing building as ours is an absolute privilege, and we take pride in it’s history. Although, our building is over 100 years old, at Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge CE School, we continually move ahead with the latest in equipment and resources, to ensure that we offer the best learning experience for our children.
On site, our well-equipped kitchen is used to prepare well balanced meals. These are cooked from fresh ingredients.
Our school is quite extensive. Classrooms and a library occupy 2 floors of the original building and in addition to that, we also have a modern extension to the rear, housing further classrooms and a music room.
Our separate Learning Hub is used by staff and children during the school day. We have a Wi-Fi network that spans the school giving easy internet access for children and staff.
The school has two large playgrounds which are equipped for tennis, netball and basketball. The use of the Regatta Field and Dale End Park, is also always an option for our sporting or enrichment events.
And, of course, being situated in this beautiful historic valley (a World Heritage Site, none-the-less!) We make good use of our community, surroundings, countryside and museums.
