Thank you to everyone who came to the Summer BBQ and the Leaver’s Disco, and especially to those parents who organised the events. Together we have raised £720 for the Friends of Coalbrookdale, on top of monies raised directly by the school who provided the food for both events.
The Friends is a registered charity whose charitable objects are to ‘advance the education of the pupils in the school’ which we do by fundraising and working with the school staff to agree how best to use the money raised.
We will be having our AGM in September and need more committee members. It isn’t an onerous commitment and more details about what’s involved will be shared in the new term.
In the meantime have a fantastic summer!
