End of the Year

It is not the usual end to a school year but we hope this finds everyone keeping well and safe. It has certainly been an eventful year with a helicopter landing on the school playground, the demolition of the power station cooling towers, the Ironbridge floods and then finally the Covid-19 lockdown.

It has been lovely to see some of our children return this half term but wish we could have seen you all. We hope those at home have enjoyed catching up with their teachers and classmates each week online.

Before lockdown started we had the usual busy events during the year and as always we wish to thank you for your help and support.

Thank you:

  • To all the parents for their support throughout the school year, supporting the children at Christmas plays, music performances, special assemblies, school trips, sporting events and so much more;
  • To the parents who volunteer in school and help run school clubs for the children;
  • To the Friends of Coalbrookdale for all their hard work at fundraising events to raise money for the school so that the whole school community benefits;
  • To all the Governors for giving up their time for meetings and their visits to school.
