Last Friday, the children from our Eco Council embarked on a meaningful trip to our local park, joined by Robert Petty from the Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge Litter Picking Community Group. Robert kindly provided litter pickers for the children, who enthusiastically set about cleaning up the area.
The children had a fantastic time and collected a significant amount of rubbish. Among the interesting items they found were old trophies, glass bottles, BBQs, an animal skull, and plenty of plastic bottles. They diligently sorted the rubbish into recyclable and non-recyclable categories.
At the end of the day, we gathered to reflect on the positive impact we had made on our lovely local park. The children should be incredibly proud of themselves for their responsibility, compassion, and respect towards other park visitors. They truly exemplified the wonderful qualities of the students here at Coalbrookdale School.
