Year 2 dictionary

The dictionary above contains the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 common exception words, along with a few other high frequency words. All children in Year 2 are expected to spell these words accurately in their independent work, as well as using the spelling rules they are taught in class. Each child has a dictionary on their desk during independent writing, which they actively use. They are also encouraged to add any of their ‘tricky’ words to their dictionary.
