World Book Day 2025 – A Fantastic Celebration of Reading!

We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day! The children did an incredible job dressing up as their favourite book characters, and we were amazed by the creativity and effort that went into their fantastic costumes. From classic literary figures to modern-day favourites, it was fantastic to see such enthusiasm for reading brought to life.

Throughout the day, children enjoyed sharing their favourite stories and authors, sparking great conversations about the joy of reading. Classrooms were filled with storytelling, book-themed activities, and a shared love of literature, making it a truly special occasion.

World Book Day is always a highlight of our school calendar, and this year was no exception. It was a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the magic of books and inspire a lifelong love of reading. A huge thank you to everyone—children, parents, and staff—who made the day such a success!

Keep reading and enjoying stories!

Exciting Playtime Enhancements at School!

We have recently reviewed and enhanced our playtimes, introducing a range of activities to further support children’s learning, creativity, and physical development during their free time. The response from the children has been overwhelmingly positive—they are fully engaged and thoroughly enjoying the new opportunities!

This week, our theme is ‘Transport’, and it has been wonderful to see children using their imagination to bring this to life. They have been designing and building rollercoasters, trains, and trucks using scrap materials, as well as using chalk to create transport for their characters—imaginative play at its best!

To ensure all children have access to physical play, sporting equipment is now timetabled for each class throughout the week. While we are still in the early stages and refining our approach, it has been a fantastic start, and we are already seeing the benefits in children’s engagement and enjoyment.

A huge thank you to all parents who have kindly donated items so far. If you have any toys or scrap materials at home that could be used for imaginative play, we would greatly appreciate any further donations.

Thank you for your continued support!
