NSPCC Fundraising
On Wednesday morning children in Reception and Year 1 took part in a fundraising, running event working as a team to collect the dragon’s treasure. We hope you will agree that they did a great job. Well done to everyone took part.
Congratulations also, to pupils in Years 2 – 6 who took part in Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge’s first ever fun run, around the Regatta Field and Dale End Park, on Thursday afternoon. There was a fantastic atmosphere, with everyone enjoying a run in the sunshine to raise money for the NSPCC.
A big thank you to Mrs Cameron and Mr Lammiman for helping Mrs Bletcher to mark out the course Thursday morning.
Children should return their sponsorship money to their class teacher by Friday 1st March.
Parking on Dale End
Parents will be aware that Telford & Wrekin Council were here last week changing the road markings in front of the school. Parents are reminded that they should not park on the double yellow or zig-zag lines. Please be considerate of local residents by not parking across their driveways. There have been a number of incidents this week where they have been unable to enter/exit their properties safely.
Free car parking permits are available from Telford & Wrekin Council (Ph: 01952 384 000) to park in Dale End and Wharfage car parks at school drop-off and pick-up times.

Sports News – Hockey – 8th February
On the 8th February 2019, Year 5 and Year 6 took part in the Quick Sticks Hockey Finals against 5 teams. We were split into two teams Coalbrookdale 1 and 2. Coalbrookdale 1 won all 5 matches but, sadly Coalbrookdale 2 lost all 5 matches. Coalbrookdale 1 played Coalbrookdale 2 and the score was 4-1 to Coalbrookdale 1. After all of our matches, we went to the ceremony and Coalbrookdale 2 came 5th and Coalbrookdale 1 came 1st and won a gold medal.
Year5 and 6 would like to thank Miss B for all her effort organising our hockey and bringing home a victory for Coalbrookdale.
